Kim Simpson
Kim Simpson is a qualified psychotherapist, running a private practice including parent coaching in Richmond, Surrey. She is married with three children and two grandchildren. She has been deeply involved in Montessori education, running nurseries for over 30 years and training Montessori teachers. She was voted ‘Montessorian of the Year’ in 2006. Kim has acted as Chairperson on three Educational Boards, including the Psychosynthesis & Education Trust in London. A regular contributor to early years’ magazines, she also gives talks on Montessori education, child behaviour and the spiritual development of both child and adult. Kim is a core group member of the Open Eye Campaign, and contributed a chapter titled ‘The Unfolding Self’ to the recent Open Eye book Too Much, Too Soon? – Early Learning and the Erosion of Childhood. With Wendy Ellyatt and Richard House, Kim is a co-founder of the Save Childhood movement.
